System Requirements

Start with these minimums....

Intuiface includes two software applications that run natively on a device. They are:

  • Composer, for building interactive experiences.
  • Player, for running interactive experiences built using Composer.
    NOTE: Composer includes an embedded Player so you can preview and test your applications as you build them.

This page lists the minimum system requirements for running Composer and Player

NOTE: One Composer can create an unlimited number of experiences; each Player runs one experience at a time on any device in the field. For example, in a setup with one Composer license and five Player licenses, an unlimited number of experiences can be built for execution on up to five separate devices.

All other components of the Intuiface platform, including the entirety of the Intuiface Cloud - which includes Analytics and Headless CMS - run entirely in the cloud and thus only require a network connection and a web browser.

Minimum System Requirements for Intuiface Composer

(These are minimums. The volume of graphic media, the size of that media, the number of screens, and the complexity of your experiences may require that these minimums be exceeded.)
IntuiFace Composer

Windows

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit / Windows 10 or 11, IOT Enterprise
  • Includes Windows Surface Pro tablets, all versions
  • Windows Surface Hub and Surface RT, the ARM-based Windows OS's for handheld devices, are not supported
  • Intel Core i5 4th Gen (or AMD equivalent) or above / Intel Core i3 8th Gen (or AMD equivalent) or above
  • 8 GB RAM minimum
  • 1GB graphic card, AMD or nVidia recommended.
  • SSD (Solid State Drive) at least 120GB 

Mac OS

  • Mac OS is not supported. However, Intuiface works well with Apple Boot Camp or virtual machine software like Parallels. For more information, see here.

Always test your experience on the target hardware and adjust the quantity of memory (RAM and GPU) and GPU power according to the complexity and richness of your interactive experiences. Follow this link for some performance optimization tips.

A touchscreen is not required. However, without a touch screen, only single-finger actions can be simulated through the click and drag actions of a mouse. Keyboard arrow keys can be used to navigate forward and backward between scenes.

Minimum System Requirements for Intuiface Player

(These are minimums. The volume of graphic media, the size of that media, the number of screens, and the complexity of your experiences may require that these minimums be exceeded.)
IntuiFace Player
Windows
  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit / Windows 10 or 11, IOT Enterprise
  • Includes Windows Surface Pro tablets, all versions
  • Windows Surface Hub and Surface RT, the ARM-based Windows OS's for handheld devices, are not supported
  • Intel Core i5 4th Gen (or AMD equivalent) or above / Intel Core i3 8th Gen (or AMD equivalent) or above
  • 4 GB RAM minimum

    If using integrated Intel HD Graphics GPU, CPU should be at least 5th generation i5/i7 and RAM minimum should be raised to 6GB.
  • SSD (Solid State Drive) at least 120GB

macOS

iPadOS
  • iPadOS Version 11 or later
  • iPad Air 2 or later; avoid using any iPad version inferior to iPad 4th generation
  • All iPad Mini's are supported but performance is below that of recommended devices
Android
  • Devices running Android Version 5.0 or later
  • CPU
    ARM: ARMv7-A or higher. For the Rockchip line, use the RK3288 series or later
    Intel: X86-based
  • 4GB RAM
Chrome OS
  • Any Chromebook, Chromebox, or Chromebase.
BrightSign
  • Series 5: XC5, XT5, XD5, HD5 (see our Help Center for additional detail)
  • Series 4: XT4, XD4‍‍
  • XT3 Product Line
Samsung Tizen on the SMART Signage Platform
  • Any SMART Signage Platform device running Tizen 6.5 or later.

Raspberry Pi

  • Any device running Raspberry Pi OS Version 4 or later.
  • Requires the use of Player Next Gen.

Language Support

Intuiface is available in English only. Media and text can include and be annotated with any language.

 

License Management

Intuiface Composer and Player licenses - in addition to an account's Platform license - are managed via a personalized License Dashboard. On that page you can download licenses, transfer licenses between machines, and cancel subscriptions.
