💻 Product Updates
We've rolled out a few product enhancements and bug fixes over the past few weeks. No doubt you keep up with our Release Notes 😉, but here's a run-through of what is new and notable.
- Player on all platforms but Windows - which, you may not be aware, is based on our Next Gen technology - is now feature complete. All of our plans have been realized! For our power users out there, this means you now have access to features like web triggers and Nexmosphere sensor support.
- Huge overhaul of our Analytics infrastructure. Better scale and performance, along with an improved API for retrieving and managing collected data.
- Like overhauls? Well, you can also expect to see it soon for our Headless CMS infrastructure! This means greatly improved performance for large data structures. Expect it in the next week or so. And don't forget the bonus features we pushed out last month, like base filtering!
Thought of the day: Debugging is like being a detective in a crime movie where you’re also the murderer. Ha!
💥 Bringing our Next Gen technology to Windows
Long-time customers know that we completely rebuilt Player from the ground up and released it on all platforms but Windows. In fact, if you have Player on any of those other platforms - like Android, BrightSign, or iOS - you're already using Next Gen technology.
Well now we have a beta version of Player Next Gen for Windows.
Player Next Gen on Windows lowers resource utilization, which improves performance across all types of devices. But just as importantly, it paves the way for very big enhancements we'll be bringing to you as early as this winter.
The beta version of Player Next Gen on Windows is available by invite only, but we wanted everyone to know because we expect it to be generally available sometime before the end of 2024. We're getting close!
