Summer didn't slow down our Development Team. The past couple of weeks have seen a lot of hard work finally make its way to you and your projects. In case you missed it.....
Player Next Gen
- We've added support for 3D Models and introduced autoscroll capability for ordered collections. This progress is of particular importance, which you'll see in the next Newsletter item below.
Experience Storage
- As some of you are aware, IT organizations can impose data storage requirements that necessitate the use of in-country infrastructure. We've introduced the ability for you to select the geographic location used by Intuiface Cloud Storage for hosting published Intuiface experiences. We can offer this flexibility because, under the covers, Intuiface Cloud Storage uses Amazon AWS S3 technology, server technology with global coverage.
Headless CMS
- Saving a personal copy of any experience shared with your Intuiface account will now automatically replicate all Headless CMS bases used by that experience. We've basically turned a complicated process into something you don't even need to think about.

The official launch of Player Next Gen is......
We have met all of our milestones and can now say we are just one month from the official launch of Player Next Gen.
With "general availability", we will end-of-life the current version of Player on all platforms but Windows, replacing it with our new Player technology. That means improved performance and scalability on Android, BrightSign, iOS, Samsung Tizen, Chrome OS, and Raspberry Pi.
It doesn't stop there. As many of you know, Player Next Gen also enables you to run your Intuiface experiences on the web, deploying experiences as a website, embedded in a webpage, or running as a Progressive Web App.
We've even made it possible to run your Intuiface experiences inside third-party Content Management Systems from companies like BrightSign, REACH Media, Korbyt, Samsung, and more.
We're looking at October so you should be too. We'll have lots to say when we launch so you definitely won't miss it!

End of life notices
They say that with death there is rebirth. Well, the reverse is also a part of life. Here are a couple of offerings for which we must say goodbye.
Player on LG webOS
- Player Next Gen has certain technical requirements that LG webOS cannot yet meet. As a result, when Player Next Gen launches, we will remove our webOS support.
- HOWEVER, as webOS progresses, we may be able to reintroduce support at a later date. So perhaps this is just a see-you-later.
Storing experiences in custom AWS S3 buckets
- With our use of Amazon's AWS S3 service for Intuiface Cloud Storage, we were also able to permit customers to use their own AWS S3 buckets instead. This will no longer be possible.
- Existing experiences already published to personal S3 buckets can stay there, but new experiences must use Intuiface's storage service.
- Remember, the geographic region for Intuiface Cloud Storage can be configured by Platform Enterprise accounts at the account and experience level, providing you with critical configuration options.
- As always, Intuiface is ISO 27001 compliant, making Intuiface Cloud Storage (and the AWS S3 infrastructure below it) safe and secure.
