First mentioned two years ago when we kicked off a major development effort, the next generation of our Player technology - part of Intuiface Version 7 - is now just a couple of months away, scheduled to launch in late September. Eager to see it in action? Well, guess what - click the button below and you can.
Thanks to our new Player web-based technology, Intuiface experiences built in Composer can not only be run in-venue, they can also be run in a webpage or installed locally on a personal device to run as a progressive web app. This means 100% of Intuiface - from multi-touch and sensors to cloud integration and analytics - running on personal mobile devices and operating systems we've never supported before. Intuiface - and your ideas - can now break free from the physical space.
The benefits don't stop here, mind you. The same new Player technology will also be gradually used as a replacement for the current-gen Player on all of today's supported platforms and deliver a major performance boost. This boost doesn't just mean better responsiveness and scale on high-end machines - with performance similar to natively written code - but even the ability to work on devices once considered too low-powered, like Rhaspberry pi devices.
There's lots to come! Start your journey by checking out our Showcase.
Up 'til now, those running Intuiface through its paces were granted time-unlimited access to Composer and Player. Yes, there were limitations - e.g. a watermark and a need to be online at all times - but there was no clock on the evaluation itself. That is going to change.
With the release of Intuiface 7 in late September, all existing and future trials of Composer and Player will be limited to 28 days. As before, 100% of Intuiface features will be available for evaluation, we'll just be putting a 28-day clock on the study.
If your evaluation of Intuiface overlaps the launch of Intuiface 7, your account will be reset to what we call a Registered state, giving you six months to start your 28-day trial. So no rush - but we ask you to be prepared for the change.
One other thing: Intuiface pricing is going to increase with the launch. You'll be given more details in time, but an increase is a guarantee. What we can also guarantee is that licenses purchased before the launch will lock in their purchase price for all future renewals. In other words, by buying licenses before the end of September, you'll be saving money in the long term. Do with this information what you will. :-)
The Samsung Kiosk bundles retail-oriented peripherals on a Tizen-driven device, making it a highly appealing, low-cost, and extremely flexible entry in the kiosk marketplace. The primary hurdle for its adoption is application creation. Most Tizen-based content delivery platforms are focused entirely on traditional, broadcast digital signage, useless for delivering deeply interactive experiences like endless aisle with POS capability.
Intuiface was thrilled to be asked to join the global Samsung Kiosk launch, delivering unique capabilities enabling teams to create their own Kiosk apps that take advantage of on-board features and hardware.
We are going to run a free, joint webinar with Samsung to introduce the Kiosk and to talk about application creation for the Kiosk using Intuiface. We've put together a couple of sessions to best accommodate your time zone; pick the one that works best for you.
